Men's Tennis Announces 2018-19 Schedule

Blue Demons Open Thursday at Milwaukee Tennis Classic
CHICAGO – The DePaul men's tennis team unveiled its 2018-19 schedule that features seven matches on its home court at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.
It's an ambitious beginning as the Blue Demons open up competing in two tournaments at the same time---Sept. 20-23 at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic and Sept. 21-23 at the WMU/Vredevelt Invitational at Western Michigan.
After a week to evaluate their opening performances, they head to the Oct. 5-7 Purdue Fall Invitational. Following another week off, coach Matt Brothers' team competes Oct. 18-21 in the ITA Midwest Regional at South Bend, Ind.
DePaul concludes the fall tournament portion of its schedule with split squads playing Nov. 2-4 in the Gopher Invitational at Minnesota and the Redbird Invitational at Illinois State.
The Blue Demons return from winter break and open the dual-match season Jan. 18 against Green Bay at Minnesota. The next day, they take on the host Golden Gophers. They're back on the road Jan. 25 at Wisconsin.
They begin a stretch of four consecutive home matches Jan. 26 with their BIG EAST opener against Georgetown. The following weekend has them facing BIG EAST opponent Creighton on Feb. 1 with Illinois-Chicago providing the opposition 24 hours later.
The home stand concludes Feb. 8 with a nonconference match against Youngstown State.
Up next is the most challenging part of the 2019-19 schedule with eight consecutive away from Lincoln Park.
It begins with a trip to Boca Raton, Fla. where they will encounter Florida Atlantic and Stetson on Feb. 16 and Tennessee Tech on Feb. 17.
Brothers will bring his team to the highly competitive HEB Invitational in Corpus Christi, Texas for a pair of matches on Feb. 22 and one on Feb. 23.
The road stretch finishes up with a pair of BIG EAST showdowns March 8 at Xavier and March 9 at Marquette.
The Blue Demons are back at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness March 15 to face Dayton and return to their home court March 22 to take on BIG EAST rival Villanova.
Then, it's back on the road again with matches at Richmond (March 26), Old Dominion (March 28) and William & Mary (March 30).
They return to Lincoln Park for an April 5 BIG EAST showdown against St. John's followed by a nonconference match against Drake the next day.
The regular season concludes with an April 14 BIG EAST match at Butler. That will give DePaul seven conference matches during the dual season.
