Noah Deck finished in 10th place, Miranda Rea captured 16th to lead the Blue Demons
KENOSHA, WIS. – The DePaul men's and women's cross country teams competed Saturday morning at the Vic Godfrey Open hosted by Wisconsin Parkside. Racing among some of the Midwest's top programs, the Blue Demon men finished in sixth with the women coming in seventh.

Senior Noah Deck led the Blue Demons with a time of 26:06.3 in the 8K to finish in 10th place. Deck shaved off six seconds from his time last season in the same course. Crossing the finish line second for the men's squad was fellow senior Jeremy Lozano with a time of 26:29.9 to earn a top 25 finish. Charlie McIntyre (26:37.1), Matthew Gagen (27:11.1) and Henry Harper (27:12.4) rounded out the top five for the men's team.

On the women's side, senior Miranda Rea, who led the Blue Demons in every meet last year, continued the trend clocking a 19:16.7 finish in the women's 5K to come in 16th. Freshman Maret Elgren rounded out the top 25 with a 19:31.9 finish. The newcomer improved her time by over 30 seconds from the first meet of the season. Rounding out the top five finishers for the women's team were Margaret Hastings (19:56.4), Lorie Cashdollar (20:00.0) and Courtney Pickering (20:04.8).
