CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer settled for a 0-0 draw Sunday against the Loyola Marymount Lions (2-4-2) in a double OT, 110-minute scoreless match.Â
In quite the physical match, the Blue Demons would make a total of 12 shot attempts with eight on goal. Senior forward Franny Cerny paced the offensive and led the charge with three SOG, while freshman midfielder Mary Tierney put up two of her own.Â
DePaul's offensive attack wouldn't falter throughout all 110 forcing the LMU keeper Charlee Pruitt to make eight saves in the net, winning six corner kicks. The force of the DePaul back line - Avery Hay, Gwen Walker, Adrian Walker and Sydney Parker - limited the Lions to just two shots in the first half and none in the first overtime
At the 90 minute mark, the first OT would see DePaul come out strong firing off two shots in the ten minute period but struggled to find the back of the net. The same situation followed with LMU in the 2OT period. The Lions had two chances to break the deadlock but both were to no avail.Â
Freshman goalkeeper Mollie Erikkson made three saves on Sunday for DePaul. The Blue Demons are now 4-2-1 on the season with just two more matches before the commencement of BIG EAST play.Â
