Men's Soccer Slated for Two Contests

CHICAGO - The DePaul men's soccer program is set to take on Creighton in a midweek Wednesday evening matchup in Omaha, Neb., before returning home to face Xavier on Saturday on Wish Field in celebration of Senior Day. The Blue Demons sit 5-5-3 overall and 1-1-3 in BIG EAST play following a 2-0 win over Providence.
The team will recognize five seniors on Saturday – Joshua Bowser, Max de Bruijne, Zach El-Shafei Sasa Labovic and Kyle Smith, all four-year members of the program.

SCOUTING THE BLUEJAYS
Creighton sits 6-5-1 overall with a 2-3-0 record in conference play but are searching for their first win this month after most recently falling to St. John's 2-0 last weekend. Luke Haakenson leads the squad with four goals and two assists for a total of 10 points with five other two-goal scorers on the team. Musa Qongo paces the team with four assists. Paul Kruse and Collin Valdivia have split up the goalkeeping duties, Valdiva playing in eight matches and Kruse in five. The two have combined for 43 saves and a goals against average of 1.29. Valdiva has tallied two shutouts.

Creighton holds the advantage in this all-time series, 9-0-0.
SCOUTING THE MUSKETEERS
Xavier holds a 5-6-1 record on the season so far and 1-4-0 in BIG EAST play following a 1-0 loss to No. 13 Georgetown over the weekend. Samson Sergi has scored a team-leading six goals and Karsen Henderlong is right behind him with five. Both have two gamewinners. Â Three players are tied at two assists apiece. Â Matthew Rosenberg has played every minute for the Musketeers throughout their 12 matches and holds a 0.811 save percentage to accompany a 1.13 goals against average with three shutouts.
