DePaul's Next BIG EAST Test Friday at Seton Hall

Blue Demons have won four of their last five conference matchups
CHICAGO – As coach Doug Bruno and his Blue Demons head east this weekend, the program is assuming a road-warrior mentality.
Beginning with Friday night's 6 p.m. game at Seton Hall, DePaul (17-7, 8-4) will close out the BIG EAST Conference season with four of its final six games away from home.
It will be quite the challenge to double-down this weekend with an always-tough St. John's team on tap for a Sunday matinee in Madison Square Garden which is known as "The World's Most Famous Arena." That BIG EAST showdown will be televised on FS2 beginning at noon.
Seton Hall (14-10, 6-7) came into McGrath-Phillips Arena last month and handed the Blue Demons an 84-73 loss. That should tell you plenty about what this Tony Bozzella-coached team is capable of accomplishing.
Then again, this is a different DePaul team from the one that came up short on Jan. 20. BIG EAST Player of the Week Mart'e Grays has become a consistent, nearly unstoppable inside force who can also hurt you from three-point range.
Front-court mate Chante Stonewall is realizing her potential and expanding her game to include credible guard skills. Stonewall and Grays are the team's leading scorers with each averaging 14.2 points game.
Despite the best efforts of opposing BIG EAST coaches to neutralize her, point guard Kelly Campbell is once again imposing her will on the backboards while deftly setting up teammates for wide-open looks. The 5-foot, 10-inch junior is averaging nine rebounds a game over the last four BIG EAST matchups.
Campbell will have a little extra motivation on Friday night as she is from Wall, N.J. which is about an hour's drive from Walsh Gymnasium. There will likely be a loud contingent of family and friends vocalizing their support for No. 20 and her Blue Demon teammates.
Ashton Millender (13 points a game) is capable of a break-out performance at any given moment and freshmen Maya Stovall, Lexi Held and Sonya Morris are becoming steady contributors.
Stovall has made quite an impact since being inserted into the starting lineup five games ago and is averaging nearly 10 points and more than six assists per game over her last three outings.
The Blue Demons have won seven of their last nine games and lead the nation in three-pointers, three-point attempts and threes per game. They are No. 3 in the country in free throw percentage, No. 7 in assists, No. 8 in assists per game, No. 9 in scoring offense and No. 22 in assist-turnover ratio.
Campbell, who is among the 10 finalists for the prestigious Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year award, is No. 14 in the nation in assist-turnover ratio while Millender is No. 18 in three-point attempts and No. 25 in three-pointers.
Seton Hall has lost three of its last four games. The Pirates are 11-2 at home, 2-7 on the road and 1-1 at neutral sites. They surprised DePaul last month in their first meeting with an 84-73 win at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
Shadeen Samuels leads the team in scoring and rebounding (18.5 points, nine rebounds per game) along with field goal percentage and blocked shots. Three-point specialist Nicole Jimenez is averaging 12.8 points and Inja Butina 12.2.
