Blue Demons wrap up weekend action in the Mile High City
DENVER, Colo. -- The DePaul women's tennis team was back in action on Sunday afternoon to wrap up their two days of competition at the Denver Tennis Park
The Blue Demons continued to work through one of the toughest schedules in program history with a meeting against Denver, a team that won the Summit League Championship and appeared in the NCAA tournament a year ago. The Pioneers moved to 7-1 on the season on Sunday with a 7-0 sweep of DePaul.
It was all Denver from the start as the Outlaws claimed doubles victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions in straight sets.
At No. 1 singles, Keisha Clousing came close to forcing a third set against Denver's Bianca Mok but fell in the tiebreaker 1-6, 6-7 (4).
DePaul will return to action next weekend when the Blue Demons travel to Rockford, Ill. on Friday to face Northern Illinois followed by a trip to Bloomington, Ind. on Sunday to face another Big Ten opponent in the Hoosiers.
