LAST TIME OUT
DePaul claimed its first victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Dayton. Sophomore Morgan Turner's goal and eventual gamewinner in the 57th minute lifted the Blue Demons over the Flyers. After being tied at halftime, the DePaul offense would find the perfect moment for Jade Eriksen-Russo to find Turner at the top of the box to give DePaul the go-ahead goal. Sophomore keeper Mollie Eriksson would net four saves while forward Kristin Boos and defender Jessica Lazo would each fire a shot on goal. The Blue Demons earned three corner kicks.Â
SCOUTING THE JAYHAWKS
This is the first meeting between Kansas (4-0-0) and DePaul (1-3-0). The undefeated Jayhawks are ranked 11th in the country - moving up seven spots since last week and claiming their highest ranking since 2014. Senior Katie McClure is proving herself to be a staple for Kansas as she has scored the gamewinning goal in each of the Jayhawks' first four matches, leading the nation. She leads the Big 12 with six goals and 14 points and ranks in the top-five of the NCAA. Kansas is most recently coming off a 1-0 victory over Florida Atlantic.Â
SCOUTING THE GAMECOCKS
South Carolina (3-0-0)Â and DePaul have also never previously met. The Gamecocks enter the weekend coming off a 6-0 defeat of Jacksonville. Similar to Kansas, senior Elexa Bahr has notched the last three gamewinners in their last three games. The Gamecocks have moved up eight spots in two weeks and are now the highest ranked team in the SEC. Their undefeated record includes a 2-1 win over 21st-ranked NC State and a 3-0 win over William & Mary.
