CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer fell to the No. 7 South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday morning, 1-0, on the final day of the Boilermaker Challenge Cup in West Lafayette, Ind.
Despite the loss, DePaul claimed second place in the tournament.Â
Jade Eriksen-Russo, Avery Hay and Kristin Boos were named to the All-Tournament Team.Â
South Carolina (5-0-0) laid the offense on thick in the first half, firing off seven shots while their back line held DePaul (2-4-0) to zero shots.Â
The Gamecocks would grab the go-ahead goal in the 64th minute from Lauren Chang.Â
DePaul's Mollie Eriksson would tally four saves between the pipes while Morgan Turner and Kristin Boos each put up a shot.Â
