Charlie Moore scored 20 points to lead three in double figures
OMAHA, Neb. – The Blue Demons dropped a 93-64 decision on the road at No. 23/21 Creighton Saturday as Charlie Moore led three DePaul players in double figures with 20 points. Romeo Weems added 12 and Darious Hall scored 11 for the Blue Demons
Creighton opened up the game with a 12-0 run that turned a 10-10 tie into a 22-10 advantage for the Bluejays. DePaul (13-12, 1-11 BIG EAST) brought the deficit to 25-15 behind five straight points by Weems, but the Blue Demons could get no closer than 12 points over the remainder of the first half and trailed, 42-28, at intermission.
The second half started with 11 straight points for Creighton (20-6, 9-4 BIG EAST) that gave the Bluejays a commanding 53-28 lead less than two minutes into the second half. Creighton's lead grew as high as 33 points midway through the second half before settling at 93-64.
Moore added five assists while Weems pulled down five rebounds. Creighton's Ty-Shon Alexander led all scorers with 24 points.
The Blue Demons return to Wintrust Arena on Wednesday night to face Villanova. Start time is 8 p.m. on CBS Sports Network and WSCR (670 AM).
