Women's Tennis Comes Up Short Against Tulsa

Blue Demons fall 4-0 Saturday at Schwartz Tennis Center

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – DePaul women's tennis ran into a tough Tulsa team Saturday on a neutral court at the Schwartz Tennis Center.

The Blue Demons' best efforts came up short in a 4-0 loss to a Hurricane program that is now 8-2 on the season.

Lenka Antonijevic battled into a third set against Tulsa's Vera Ploner at No. 3 singles only to fall short 4-6, 6-1, 6-0.

In a match played to clinch, Yuliya Kizelbasheva (No. 2 singles), No. 4 Marija Jovicic and No. 6 Maddie Yergler did not finish against their Hurricane opponents.

Once Tulsa clinched the doubles point, Hristina Djokic and Marija Jovicic did not complete their doubles matchup.

DePaul (3-4) returns home to Lakeshore Sport & Fitness on Sunday for a 5 p.m. match against Northern Illinois.
