Golf Claims 12th Straight GCAA Academic Award

Blue Demons pick up team honor while Campbell Wolf is named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar
CHICAGO – The DePaul golf team picked up All-Academic Team honors and Campbell Wolf was named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar as the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) recently released its annual academic awards.
Wolf was one of 570 NCAA Division I honorees on the scholar list as a total of 1,018 student-athletes were recognized from NCAA Divisions I, II, NAIA, and NJCAA.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically in Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 78.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. For 2019-20 only, they must participate in 40% of the team's competitive rounds
The Blue Demons claimed the academic team honor for the 12th straight year with this year's All-Academic Team award. Since the GCAA poll began in 2009, the Blue Demons have etched academic honors every year. DePaul was crowned the Division I academic national champions in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 and was also awarded the President's Special Recognition award in 2013 and 2018 for having a team GPA over 3.5. The Blue Demons earned All-Academic Team honors in 2009, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
Kentucky (Division I), Maryville (Division II), Swarthmore (Division III), Wayland Baptist (NAIA), Dodge City (NJCAA Division I), and South Mountain (NJCAA Division II) were all named 2020 Academic National Champions for finishing with the top GPA in their respective divisions, announced by the GCAA. Kentucky finished with the top overall GPA in all divisions, finishing the 2019-20 season with a 3.89 team GPA.
A total 250 schools submitted GPA's of 3.0 or above, with 95 of those schools earning Presidents Special Recognition Honors, finishing with a team GPA of 3.5 and above. To be eligible for GCAA Outstanding Team Academic honors a college or university must submit GPAs for each player on their official squad list for the academic year.
