DePaul Set to Host Blue Demon Holiday Invite

CHICAGO - DePaul track and field is ready to play host to the Blue Demon Holiday Invite on Friday at Gately Indoor in Chicago. The Blue Demons will welcome seven schools to Gatey Indoor Track & Field complex and the action will get underway at 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

The Blue Demons will be back on the track after participating in the Blue & Gold Invitational last week at the University of Notre Dame. Tori Carroll notched a new school record in the 60m dash and the Blue Demons logged a handful of strong performances from newcomers to the 2021-22 squad.

The Blue Demon Holiday Invite is the first meet at Gately since the DePaul BIG EAST Triangular that served as DePaul's lone 2020-21 indoor meet .. The indoor complex at Gately will also play host to the BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships in February.

Field events will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday at Gately and action on the track will start at 4:30. Butler, Chicago State, Illinois State, Indiana State, Loyola, Marquette and UIC will all be in action along with the Blue Demons.
