Held Receives Second Conference Weekly Accolade

Junior guard selected to BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday
CHICAGO – Lexi Held received her second BIG EAST weekly accolade on Monday heading into No. 22/22 DePaul's conference showdown against Seton Hall at 6 p.m. that will be televised nationally on FS1.
Held was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after leading the Blue Demons to an 81-73 victory over St. John's last Wednesday in Queens, N.Y.
The junior guard finished with 14 points, a career-high eight assists, six steals and four rebounds. The six steals tied a career high and gave Held 19 in the last four games---nearly five per game.
On the season, Held is averaging 15.5 points a game and leads DePaul in assists (four per game) and steals (three per game). She has been a double-figure scorer in all but one game in 2020-21 and leads the BIG EAST in steals, steals per game and three-point attempts.
For the second week in a row, Connecticut's Paige Bueckers won both the Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week awards after averaging 24.3 points, 5.7 assists and shooting .545 from the field including .412 from three-point range.
