Tori Meyer Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Sophomore outfielder led the Blue Demons in batting average and RBIs in a 3-2 opening weekend
CHICAGO – Sophomore outfielder Tori Meyer has been selected to the BIG EAST weekly Honor Roll as announced by the league office on Monday morning.
Meyer was an integral part of the DePaul offense throughout opening weekend which saw the Blue Demons post a 3-2 record at the Rosemont Dome.
The Barrington, Ill. native led the team with a .545 batting average in 11 at bats on the weekend. Meyer also recorded a team-best seven RBIs on six hits over the course of five games.
In DePaul's season-opening win over Valparaiso, Meyer tallied two hits and two RBI to go along with one run. Meyer went 3-for-4 in a Blue Demon win over UMKC where she posted two RBIs on a double and a single while scoring two runs.
Meyer rounded out her weekend performance with a two-RBI double to center field and three walks in a 14-6 win over crosstown foe Loyola in five innings.
DePaul returns to the field on Friday, Feb. 26 with a trip to Carbondale, Ill. for the Coach B Classic. The Blue Demons will face Ball State, Saint Louis, Austin Peay State and Southern Illinois in the three-day event.
