DePaul Set for Clark Wood Open in Louisville

DePaul returns to Louisville for second time this month
CHICAGO – DePaul track and field will head back to Louisville, Ken. for the Clark Wood Open on April 23 and 24. The Blue Demons return to Bluegrass State after competing at the Louisville Invitational on April 2 and 3.
The Blue Demons are back in action after a busy weekend at the Gibson Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind. Olivia Borowiak highlighted day one for DePaul, posting a school record in the 5000m run and logging a victory for the Blue Demons. On day two, Tori Caroll posted a meet record and won the women's long jump with a mark of 5.87m.
DePaul has totaled three brand new school records this spring as Mackenna Orie, Kyle Mastrangeli and Borowiak have now all logged program bests.
The action will get underway in Louisville on Friday at 1 p.m. CT with the women's long jump. Carroll will be back on the runway less than a week after logging the win in Terre Haute. On the men's side, Ben Litwin and Alex Murray will compete in the men's hammer throw at 1:30 p.m.
At 4 p.m., Kiersten Walker will hit the track for the 200m dash. Walker was narrowly defeated in the 400m at the Gibson Invitational. She finished third in the 200m dash at the Louisville Invitational earlier this month.
Saturday's portion of the Clark Wood Open will feature a full slate of events throughout the day. The day begins with the men's and women's shot put at 10 a.m.
After setting a school record last week, Borowiak will run the 1500m at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday. On the men's side, DePaul's Jarel Terry will toe the line at 1:35 p.m. for the 400m after setting a new personal best in the event last week.
Following this weekend's meet, the Blue Demons will head to Marquette on May 1 before competing at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships on May 14 and 15.
