Three Blue Demons Earn GCAA All-American Scholar Recognition

Perry Chong, Noah Kolar and Artemiy Yalovenko named All-American Scholars
CHICAGO – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced today the 2020-21 NCAA DI All-American Scholars presented by Srixon/Cleveland Golf. DePaul was represented on the academic list by Perry Chong, Noah Kolar and Artemiy Yalovenko.
A week ago the team picked up All-Academic Team honors for the 13th consecutive season from the GCAA.
Chong, Kolar and Yalovenko each earned All-American Scholars recognition for the first time in their careers. DePaul was one of six BIG EAST program represented with Marquette placing four members on the list followed by DePaul's three, two for Butler, Seton Hall and Villanova and one member of the Creighton golf team.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 40-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
