CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer begins the 2021 regular season with a matchup versus Iowa at Wish Field on Thursday at 4 p.m. CT. DePaul's matchup against the Hawkeyes is the first of eight non-conference matchups this fall. Thursday's match will be the first regular-season contest to have full attendance capacity since the Blue Demons defeated Marquette 4-0 back on Nov. 1, 2019.
DePaul mixed and matched a handful of lineups in last week's exhibition, working in newcomers that include three transfers and four incoming freshmen. Offensively, Morgan Turner and Kristin Boos will spearhead the Blue Demon attack this fall after combining for 17 goals over the last two seasons.
Blue Demon senior goalkeeper Mollie Eriksson will hold down the DePaul net to start the campaign. Eriksson has totaled 45 starts in goal and has posted 19 shutouts through three seasons in Lincoln Park.
Following Thursday's match, DePaul hits the road to take on Oakland in Rochester, Mich. next Thursday. The Blue Demons return to Wish Field on Sunday, Aug. 29 to host UIC.
