Women's Tennis Opens with a 4-0 Win Over Bradley

Blue Demons come away with three singles victories and the doubles point
CHICAGO – DePaul got its women's tennis dual-match season off to a smooth start on Friday.
Playing in their new home court, XS Tennis Village on the South Side, the Blue Demons swept past a short-handed Bradley team 4-0.
Even before the first serve, coach Marisa Arce's team had a 1-0 lead with Kaya Rand's forfeit win at No. 6 singles.
DePaul also got a head-start in doubles as Bradley forfeited No. 3 doubles.
Capitalizing on the early momentum, the DePaul doubles team of Lenka Antonijevic and Yuliya Kizelbasheva at No. 1 clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory over Kirsten Hailey and Madalena Andrade.
Marija Jovicic took care of Andrade 6-0, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. Eleanor Nobbs followed suit with a 6-0, 6-1 decision over Juliana Martinez at No. 4.
The Blue Demons return to XS Tennis on Sunday for a 1:30 p.m. match against Army West Point.
