
DePaul Begins ITA Midwest Regionals

Blue Demons one of twenty teams participating
CHICAGO - The DePaul women's tennis team comes to the conclusion of their fall schedule this weekend as the ITA Midwest Regional Championships begin in Ann Arbor, Mich. The University of Michigan is playing host to the tournament that begins on Thursday with the Qualifying Singles First Round and ends on Tuesday, Oct. 25.Â
Lenka Antonijevic, Greta Carbone, Valentina Martin, Eleanor Nobbs, Mayya Perova and Hannah Smith will all compete in the qualifiers round beginning on Thursday morning at 7 a.m. CT. Yuliya Kizelbasheva will begin the tournament in the singles main draw on Friday afternoon.
All eight members of the Blue Demons squad will participate in the doubles main draw that also begins on Friday. The pairings are: Antonijevic/ Kizelbasheva, Carbone/ Smith, Perova/ Yergler and Nobbs/ Martin.Â
DePaul will face 19 other schools including Michigan, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Ohio State and Wisconsin who all have players ranked nationally in singles or doubles.Â
