DePaul completes third and final day of the Illinois State Tournament

NORMAL, Ill. – DePaul's Shourya Verma and Jona Gitschel faced off against Bellarmine for their third and final day of matches at the Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State University on Sunday.

Verma and Gitschel started the day with a doubles match against Bellarmine's Kyle Tang and Paul Reynolds at 10 a.m. CT. The pair dropped their first contest of the day 3-8.

The Blue Demons split off to play their singles matches. Verma competed against Tang but fell 7-5, 6-1.

Gitschel played Reynolds and lost 6-3, 6-1.

UP NEXT

The Band of Brothers head out to Champaign, Ill. for the ITA Midwest Regional Tournament on Oct. 20.
