Winter Snowstorm Cancels Men's Tennis Matches Set for Saturday at Purdue

One-to-two feet of snow projected for West Lafayette, Ind.
CHICAGO – The severe winter snowstorm that blanketed the Chicago area and dumped up to 14 inches of snow in southwest suburban Mokena on Wednesday has moved into Indiana and caused the cancellation of a pair of DePaul men's tennis matches scheduled for Saturday at Purdue.
There was more than a foot of snow reported in West Lafayette, Ind. Thursday night with additional accumulation expected overnight. One weather report called for one-to-two feet of snow by the time this snowstorm subsides.
The Purdue women's basketball game against Northwestern scheduled for Thursday night has been moved to Friday.
Coach Matt Brothers and his Blue Demons were going to play Saint Louis at noon and the host Boilermakers at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
DePaul returns to the tennis courts on Feb. 18 competing at the prestigious H-E-B Tournament of Champions in Corpus Christi, Texas.
