Blue Demons Visit California for Three Weekend Meets

DePaul's trip to the West Coast includes events at the Long Beach Invitational, Mt SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational.
CHICAGO - DePaul track and field heads to the West Coast for a busy slate of action this Friday and Saturday. The action-packed weekend begins on Friday at 9:00 am CT at the Mt. SAC Relays. DePaul's first event at the Long Beach Invitational starts at 9:30am CT and 5:45pm CT at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
The Blue Demons' west coast swing takes them to three highly-touted meets in California. DePaul will have a slew of relay squads competing at the Mt. SAC Relays while individuals will look to perform in the warm weather at the Long Beach Invitational and the Bryan Clay Invitational. DePaul's set for its second weekend of outdoor action after competing in Champaign, Ill. last weekend.
The women will begin the weekend running in the 4x100m and 4x400m relay. Esther Aldana and Tori Carroll will be competing in the 4x100m after finishing second in the event at last year's BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The action continues on Saturday as Casey Mulvey competes in the shot put after coming off an event win last week.
For the men, Alex Bernstein and Ben Litwin will be competing in the hammer throw after taking first and second, respectively, at last week's Illini Classic. On Saturday, Jarel Terry will be running in the 400m after winning the event last weekend at a time of 47.14.
