The bottom of the second saw Meyer send a leadoff double to second before coming around to score on a Sullivan RBI-single up the middle. Pool and Cosgrove drew consecutive walks to load the bases. Hilger lined a two-RBI double to right field to bring home Sullivan and Pool to make it a 5-0 game.

In the bottom of the third, Meyer sent her second double of the game to right field and came around to score on a Sullivan triple to push the score to 6-1 in favor of the Blue Demons.
DePaul took the 8-1 lead on Johnson's two-run homer in the sixth inning before Wohlers sent a ball over the right field wall to walk it off and claim the 9-1 victory for the Blue Demons.
