DePaul Heads to Wisconsin and Indiana for a Pair of Friday Meets

The Blue Demons prepare for a Friday of hammer throw and track events.
CHICAGO - DePaul track and field is set to travel to a pair of meets across the midwest on Friday afternoon to wrap up the regular season slate. Friday's action for the Blue Demons begins at Noon CT at the Wisconsin Classic, hosted by the University of Wisconsin. Meanwhile, events continue into the afternoon and evening at the Billy Hayes Invitational at Indiana University.
Billie Martin will be representing the women at the Wisconsin Classic in the hammer throw. Martin threw her season best at the Gibson Invitational, the weekend of April 21-23 for a distance of 57.46m. Last weekend at the Clark Wood Invitational, Martin threw for a distance of 55.00m, finishing fourth.
For the men, Alex Bernstein and Ben Litwin will start off the day in the hammer throw. Bernstein placed second in the hammer throw, last weekend at the Clark Wood Invitational while Litwin took seventh. At the Billy Hayes Invitational, Jackson Thomas will be making his season debut in the 800m dash. To finish off the evening, Ryan Taylor will be running in the steeplechase. Last weekend Taylor PR'd by nearly 30 seconds in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:29.18.
Events begin at 12:00pm CT for the Wisconsin Classic. The action continues at 4:15pm CT at the Billy Hayes Invitational.
