DePaul Kicks Off 2022 Season with Exhibition Match Versus Milwaukee

Blue Demons host 2021 Horizon League champs at Wish Field on Sunday
CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer kicks off the 2022 fall season in Lincoln Park on Sunday, August 7 at 1 p.m. CT with an exhibition matchup against Milwaukee.
Sunday's home exhibition at Wish Field is open to the public and free to all attendees.
DePaul returns 19 letterwinners from a season ago, including a veteran group led by starting goalkeeper Mollie Eriksson behind defenders Sydney Parker and Megan Malecha. The Blue Demon offense will look to senior forward Kristin Boos alongside sophomores Katie Godden and Susie Soderstrom to provide production anchored by a strong midfield unit led by Ellie Mink, Ebba Costow and Beth Smyth. The Blue Demons will provide plenty of experience on both sides of the ball this season.
DePaul welcomes five newcomers to Chicago in 2022, all of which are true freshmen. A pair of freshmen arrive in Lincoln Park from England and Germany and provide a plethora of experience from high-level European clubs. Three other newcomers join the Blue Demons from Illinois and Missouri, all boasting high school and club team accolades.
The Blue Demons are coming off a 2021 which saw first-year head coach Michele O'Brien lead the Blue Demons to a 7-11 overall record and a 4-6 mark in BIG EAST play.
Following the home exhibition against the Panthers, the Blue Demons will head to East Lansing, Mich. to take on the Michigan State Spartans for their final exhibition match of the preseason.
