DePaul Hosts Blue Demon Alumni Classic

Action set to begin at 2 p.m. at Gately Indoor
CHICAGO – DePaul Track & Field is set to host their second meet of the season when the Blue Demon Alumni Classic commences on Friday at Gately Indoor in Chicago. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
The Blue Demons will see action in 23 different events throughout the field and the oval.
Freshman Jaiah Hopf will be back in action after breaking multiple school records in the women's triple jump throughout her two meets with the Blue Demons. Hopf finished the Blue Demon Holiday Invite with a final distance of 12.53m. Eveline Reno earned a first place finish in the women's high jump after clearing 1.71m.
On the men's side of competition, senior Jarel Terry broke a DePaul program record in the men's 300m with a time of 34.14 on the Dec. 9 meet. Sophomore Darius Brown a meet record in his last outing with a final time of 7.87.
There will be 12 other schools participating at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic, including the four other nearby schools in Chicago State, UIC, Loyola, Northern Illinois and Northwestern as well as BIG EAST foe Marquette. Rounding out the competition is Grand Valley State, Millikin, Saint Louis University, St. Thomas (Minnesota), Valparaiso and Wisconsin-La Crosse.
