DePaul Places Sixth Overall, Amicon and Borowiak Take Home All-BIG EAST

Two women take home All-BIG EAST Awards for the first time in DePaul History
CHICAGO – DePaul cross country completed the BIG EAST cross country championships Saturday morning. Both the men's and the women's teams placed sixth overall. Nina Amicon and Olivia Borowiak took home All-BIG EAST awards for their top 20 finishes.Â
ÂThe men kicked off the day with the 8k race at 11 a.m. Tommy Elwood paced the Blue Demons, finishing with a 26:33.86 time and a 31st place finish. Damian Rodriguez and Griffin Lehnhardt followed behind, with a 35th place finish and a 38th place finish respectively. Â

Michael Ronzone finished in 40th place with a final time of 26:58.04 and William Previdi claimed 47th place with a final time of 27:19.06

On the women's side Olivia Borowiak led the Blue Demons with a 15th place finish and a 21:09.76 time. Nina Amicon finished in 20th place with a 21:26.21 and Meghan Dieball rounded out DePaul's top three finishers with a 22:19.60 time in 41st place.Â
ÂMadison Volz took 56th place with a final time of 22:54.43 and Isabella Orozco earned 69th with a 23:30.08 time.Â
ÂUP NEXT: The Blue Demons continue the championship portion of their season with the NCAA Division 1 Midwest Regionals in Stillwater, Okla. on Nov. 10.Â
