Peoples Collects Fourth BIG EAST Honor Roll Mention

Graduate guard posted 15 points, eight steals and seven rebounds in win over Xavier
CHICAGO – DePaul guard Anaya Peoples has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth time this season, the league announced on Friday.
Peoples led the Blue Demons to a 76-55 win over Xavier on Wednesday afternoon in the conference opener with 15 points and a career-high eight steals to go along with seven rebounds and three assists. Her eight takeaways is the second most in a game this season by a BIG EAST player behind Katlyn Gilbert's 10 against Stonehill on Nov. 9.
For the season, Peoples ranks fourth in the league in scoring with 19.3 points per game while sitting fourth in steals (2.5), sixth in rebounds (8.1) and sixth in assists (3.8). The Danville, Ill. native has finished in double figures in 12 of 13 games on the campaign.
DePaul (8-5, 1-0) will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 28 in its final non-conference contest of the year against Alcorn State. Tipoff from Wintrust Arena is set for 6 p.m. CST.
