DePaul hosts three teams over the next six days
CHICAGO - DePaul women's tennis will play host to three schools over the next six days. Kansas State, Butler and Iowa are all headed to Chicago to take on the Blue Demons, with the matchups against Kansas State and Butler taking place in Deerfield, Ill. and the Iowa matchup at XS Tennis Village.
The Kansas State Wildcats come into the Friday night showdown with a 1-6 record, their lone win coming in a 4-2 defeat of Florida Atlantic in the beginning of the season. Since then, the Wildcats have dropped five straight including matches to No. 8 Stanford, Iowa and Tulsa.
On Sunday, the Blue Demons will meet their first BIG EAST opponent of the 2023 season. Butler will come to town and play at the College Park Athletic Club in Deerfield, Ill. The Bulldogs (2-3) come into the weekend on a two match win streak, taking down Bowling Green and Cleveland State.
The Iowa Hawkeyes (4-2) visit Chicago to take on DePaul at XS Tennis Village on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 12 p.m. The Hawkeyes have won against Denver, Kansas State and Saint Mary's. The Blue Demons have already seen Iowa this spring, as they were participants at the NIU Huskie Invite on Jan. 4-16.
Following their homestand, DePaul will hit the road to Omaha, Neb. to take on the University of Nebraska-Omaha and Creighton on Feb. 25 and 26. Matches will begin at 2 p.m. and 11 a.m., respectively.
