Aneesah Morrow Named Regional Finalist for WBCA Coaches All-America

Blue Demon sophomore named all-america candidate for second-straight season
DePaul women's basketball sophomore Aneesah Morrow has been named a region 5 finalist for the WBCA Coaches' All-America as announced by the association on Wednesday. Morrow joins 52 Division I student-athletes on the list including three other players from the BIG EAST.
The WBCA All-America Team, announced later this month, will consist of 10 players from the five regions that are composed by conference. DePaul falls in region 5 along with other BIG EAST and Big Ten programs. WBCA member coaches may nominate players from their own teams before voting for the top eight players in their respective regions from among those players who are nominated. The selection committee may select up to 12 additional at-large finalists from the remaining pool of nominees.
Morrow, named WBCA All-America Honorable Mention in 2022, would become just the second Blue Demon in program history to repeat honors from the coaches association matching Brittany Hrynko's honorable mention certificates in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
Already named Third Team All-American by the Associated Press and US Basketball Writers Association, Morrow finished in double figures in 32 of 33 games this season and led DePaul with 25.7 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. The Chicago native's 848 points this season broke the program single-season record while her 403 rebounds ranked second behind her own tally of 457 in 2021-22.
Morrow's 23 double-doubles this season is good for third in the nation while her scoring and rebounding averages rank fourth and seventh in Division I, respectively.
Through 66 career games, the sophomore currently sits 18th on the programs all-time scoring list with 1,570 points while grabbing 860 rebounds which ranks eighth among Blue Demon greats.
