DePaul prepares for lone match of the week
CHICAGO - The DePaul women's tennis looks to extend their eight-match win streak on Saturday when they take on the No. 60 University of South Florida Bulls. This is the first time since 2015 that the Blue Demons have embarked on an eight-match win streak. First serve is set for 11 a.m. CT.
South Florida enters the match with a 9-5 record, winning their last five matches. The Bulls have taken down Toledo, VCU, UNF, Cincinnati and No. 62 Wichita State during their win streak.
The Blue Demons extended their win streak to eight matches, taking down Georgetown, 4-3, in their most recent matchup. Yuliya Kizelbasheva and Lenka Antonijevic were named BIG EAST Women's Doubles Team of the Week after an impressive outing on the No. 1 court against the Hoyas.
In singles play, Hannah Smith moved to 7-6 in dual play and has won five straight matches. Kizelbasheva and Atonijevic notched wins in their last outing, moving them to 6-8 and 6-4, respectively, in singles play this season.
DePaul will be back in action on Friday, March 31 as they take on Xavier. First serve in CIncinnati is set for 12 p.m. CT.
