Blue Demons Hit the Road for Weekend Matchups

Women’s tennis faces Xavier and Cincinnati
CHICAGO - The DePaul women's tennis embarks on their final roadtrip of the regular season this weekend as they head to Cincinnati, Ohio to take on BIG EAST foe Xavier and the Cincinnati Bearcats.Â
The Blue Demons are coming off of a 5-2 loss to the South Florida Bulls on Saturday, March 25, ending their eight match win streak. DePaul owns a record of 9-6 and sits at 4-0 in BIG EAST play throughout the dual season.
Xavier (8-6) is coming off of a win over the Bearcats, 4-3. Friday's match will serve as the first conference matchup for the Musketeers. The last time these two teams met was the 2022 BIG EAST Championship game, where Xavier was able to outlast the Blue Demons, 4-0. First serve between the Blue Demons and Musketeers is set for 1 p.m. CT.Â
On Saturday, DePaul will stay in town to take on the Bearcats. Cincinnati (6-11) won their last matchup against Northern Kentucky, 6-1, on Wednesday. The team will take on Wichita State Friday before hosting the Blue Demons on Saturday afternoon. Timing for Saturday's match will be dependent on weather, with a 12 p.m. CT start if outdoors and a 2:30 p.m. start if indoors.Â
DePaul will be back at home on Friday, April 7 when they take on the Seton Hall Pirates. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m. and is a part of a Blue Demon doubleheader, with the men's tennis team playing Villanova at 10:15 a.m.
