Blue Demons compete in final meet before BIG EAST Championships
PEORIA, Ill. – DePaul cross country heads to Peoria, Ill. on Friday, Oct. 18, to compete in the Bradley Pink Invitational at Newman Golf Course. The Blue Demons will participate in the Red Races, with the men's 8k starting at 3 p.m. CT, followed by the women's 6k at 3:45 p.m. CT. The event will be streamed live on ESPN+, with live results available here.
At their last outing on Friday, Oct. 4, in the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational, the Blue Demons posted strong performances, placing fourth in the Women's 6k Open and securing first in the Men's 8k Open. Freshman Tessa Roe impressed by taking 4th in the women's race with a time of 21:17.78, while graduate student Damian Rodriguez led the men, finishing 2nd with a time of 24:25.46.
DePaul also competed in the Bradley Pink Classic in September 2023, where both teams earned runner-up finishes.
This year's invite will feature 54 schools, including some of the nation's most competitive teams. Among the field are four USTFCCCA top-30 ranked teams, including No. 4 Notre Dame (men's/women's), No. 14 Michigan (men's), and No. 18 Butler (men's).

Course Information: The Newman Golf Course, certified by the USTFCCCA, has hosted events like the Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. The men's 8k course features an initial 2,000m loop followed by three repeats of the inner 2,000m loop, ending with the straightaway finish. The women's 6k course follows a similar layout, with two repeats of the inner loop. The course offers excellent viewing for spectators.
