Blue Demons primed for first home match since Oct. 6
CHICAGO – DePaul volleyball is set to host two BIG EAST matches this weekend, returning from a four-match road swing that saw two wins and two losses for the Blue Demon squad. Friday, October 25 features a 7 p.m. face-off with the Providence Friars, while the matinee match on Sunday, October 27 is slated to start at 12 p.m. against the UConn Huskies. The Friday match can be streamed on FloSports here, while the Sunday match will stream here on Marquee Sports Network. Fans attending the Friday match can receive Fight for Literacy rally towels while supplies last.
"These next two weeks are going to be very formative for the standings and thus will provide unique pressure that is exciting," said head coach Marie Zidek.
"This weekend marks our first round through everyone in the league as we play Providence and UConn. Providence is playing hard and still searching for their first BIG EAST victory. The Friars try to win through speed and deception. UConn reminds me of their men's basketball team of the past when they were led by Kemba Walker. Their setter has them fighting and leads with an incredible motor. As the BIG EAST starts to really heat up, come to McGrath-Phillips Arena this Friday and Sunday to see these battles live."
