DePaul's Jorie Allen Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The forward averaged 20 points and eight rebounds across two games
CHICAGO – DePaul's Jorie Allen was named to the season's first BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after leading the Blue Demons in scoring and field-goal percentage in a pair of opening week games.
Allen, a 6-1 forward, averaged 20.0 points per game in addition to 8.0 rebounds while shooting 65-percent from the floor in a 1-1 week for DePaul.
In a 21-point win over Mercyhurst to open the 2024-25 campaign, Allen totaled 21 points on 6-for-9 shooting to go along with eight rebounds including six on the offensive glass. In addition to her efficiency from the field Allen shot 9-for-9 from the free-throw line against the Lakers.
Allen continued her scoring spree with a team-best 19 points against Princeton on Saturday. The Bedford, Ind. native went 7-for-11 (.636) while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out four assists.
Seton Hall's Faith Masonius was named BIG EAST Player of the Week and UConn's Sarah Strong was tabbed Freshman.
DePaul returns to the court on Tuesday, Nov. 12 with a trip to Rogers Park to take on Loyola Chicago. Tipoff from Gentile Arena is set for 7 p.m. with coverage on Marquee Sports Network.
