Blue Demons aim to build on BIG EAST Tournament success
BOYDS, Md. – DePaul women's soccer continues its postseason run with a semifinal matchup against No. 2 Xavier in the 2024 BIG EAST Championships on Thursday, Nov. 7. First touch is set for 4 p.m. CT at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Md., with streaming available on the BIG EAST Digital Network and FloSports.
DePaul (5-7-7, 3-3-4 BIG EAST) moves into the final-four after an intense double-overtime match and subsequent penalty kicks against Butler on Sunday, Nov. 3, where they advanced with an 8-7 result. The Blue Demons delivered one of their best offensive performances of the season, achieving a season-high nine points with three assists and matching their highest goal tally in a game this season with three.
Xavier (14-3-2, 7-2-1 BIG EAST) enters this year's BIG EAST Tournament after a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed. In their final regular season match, the Musketeers lost to No. 20 Georgetown on Thursday, Oct. 31. With a conference-high 130 points this season, Xavier aims to bring their strong form into the playoffs.
