Gneiser Leads Blue Demons After Round One

Blue Demons complete first round of Las Vegas Intercollegiate
HENDERSON, NEV. – Sophomore Billy Gneiser leads DePaul golf after the first round of the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate, Monday in Henderson, Nev. Gneiser golfed a career-best round of 18, finishing the day with a score of 69 (-3). He sits in a tie for eighth place, three strokes back from the lead group.
Gneiser started the day on the back nine with three holes at par before picking up back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14. Behind him in DePaul's scores is Ryder Henares and Artemiy Yalovenko who both tallied 74 (+2) on the day. Noah Kolar finished with a score of 76 (+4) as Conor Glennon rounded out DePaul's group with 80 (+8).
As a team, the Blue Demons sit in a tie for 16th place with a score of 293 (+5). Little Rock has the team lead, scoring 277 (-11) in the first 18.
DePaul is scheduled for an 11 a.m. CT tee off Tuesday morning.
