Henley Scores 15 Saturday Against Butler

CHICAGO – Jaden Henley scored a team-high 15 points Saturday afternoon at Wintrust Arena as the Blue Demons fell, 82-63, to Butler. Jalen Terry and Elijah Fisher also notched double-digit scoring performances with 14 and 12, respectively.
Henley and Fisher continued their hot streaks as Henley notched his fifth game with 15 or more points in his last six outings. Fisher's 14 points marked his sixth-consecutive game this season with 10 or more points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DePaul (3-26, 0-18 BIG EAST) came out strong shooting 7-of-9 to open the game for a 19-15 lead. From there, Butler's (17-13, 8-11 BIG EAST) defense shut down the Blue Demons going on a 17-0 run for a 32-19 lead. Da'Sean Nelson ended the half with back-to-back layups before DePaul forced a three minute scoring drought from the Bulldogs ending the half down, 45-27.
Fisher and Henley opened the second half with a pair of buckets, cutting into the Bulldogs lead. The shooting continued for DePaul on a 9-2 run that included a layup by Fisher pulling DePaul within 11, 47-36. Butler put the game away following a pair of three-pointers by DJ Davis before the Bulldogs ended the game 5-of-7.
