Three Blue Demons in Top-25 After Day One at BIG EAST Golf Championships

Yalovenko sits in top-15 individually
HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – Three Blue Demon golfers sit in the top-25 following the first day of action at the 2024 BIG EAST Golf Championships in Hardeeville, S.C. The 10 BIG EAST teams tee'd off this morning for the three-day event, completing the first 18 holes Saturday afternoon.
Artemiy Yalovenko had a team-best first round score of 73 (+1), to sit in a tie for 11th place entering Sunday's round of competition. Yalovenko ended the front nine one-under par, bolstered by a pair of birdies on the seventh and ninth hole.
Noah Kolar and Ryder Henares rounded out the top-25 for DePaul in 20th and 25th, respectively. Kolar notched a 75 (+3) followed by Henares' 77 (+5). Kolar looks to repeat his top-10 finish from last year, where he became the first DePaul golfer to do so since 2019. The senior also went one under par through the first nine holes with a pair of birdies.
Conor Glennon and Alex Vekich rounded out DePaul's golfers with scores of 83 (+11) and 86 (+14).
DePaul is set to tee off in the second of three rounds Sunday morning at 7:45 a.m. CT.
