Men’s Tennis Faces Kentucky in NCAA Regional Championships

DePaul opens Round of 64 in Lexington, Ky.
CHICAGO – DePaul men's tennis is set to open the 2024 NCAA Tournament against the No. 5 seed Kentucky Wildcats. The Blue Demons will travel to Lexington, Ky., to open the First Round on Friday, May 3, with the match time TBD.
The Blue Demons learned their fate on Monday evening as the 2024 draw was unveiled via the NCAA Selection Show.
DePaul clinched an automatic bid by winning the BIG EAST title on Monday, April 22 in Cayce, S.C., over the St. John's Red Storm in a 4-2 decision.
The Blue Demons (14-9, 4-1 BIG EAST) battle Kentucky (24-2, 12-0 SEC) for the first time since May 6, 2022. DePaul fell to the Wildcats in the opening round of the NCAA Championships, 4-0.
The victor of DePaul and Kentucky will advance to the Round of 32 and face the winner of Toledo/Illinois.
DePaul concluded its dual season with a remarkable five-straight victories, including an 8-1 record in its last nine matches. The Blue Demons maintained a perfect 6-0 record against BIG EAST opponents to close the season
