Blue Demons visit No. 5 Kentucky in First Round
LEXINGTON, Ky. – DePaul men's tennis kicks off the First Round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships on Friday, May 2, squaring off against No. 5 Kentucky at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex, with first serve slated for 3 p.m. CST.
The Wildcats (24-2, 12-0 SEC) welcome the Blue Demons (14-9, 4-1 BIG EAST) for the first time since the opening round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
Fresh off its third BIG EAST title, DePaul enters the weekend with five consecutive victories and an 8-1 record in its last nine matches.
Marking their third Round of 64 appearance in four seasons, the Blue Demons' 2024 NCAA Tournament bid signifies their continuing excellence in collegiate tennis.
Sophomore Pablo Torres Almeida boasts an impressive ten-match winning streak for the Blue Demons, adding to his stellar 13-2 singles record.
