Women’s Soccer Travels to Loyola Chicago

CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer renews its Red Line rivalry on Sunday, Aug. 25, when it travels north to Rogers Park for a showdown with the Loyola Ramblers. First touch is slated for 7 p.m. CT at Hoyne Field and Loyola Soccer Park, with live coverage on ESPN+ and live stats available on StatBroadcast.

In the third of three consecutive in-state matchups, the Blue Demons (0-1-1) aim to conclude their 'Illinois Series' with a victory after a draw against NIU and a loss to Illinois to start the season.

Loyola Chicago (1-0-1) enters the weekend following a 1-1 draw with Purdue on Thursday, Aug. 22. The Ramblers outshot the Boilermakers 8-6, with seven different players recording at least one shot for Loyola.

Interim head coach Angela Staveskie begins her first season leading the Ramblers, taking over in July 2024.
Loyola was ranked 8th in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll.
The Ramblers finished the 2023 season with a 7-7-4 record, including eight shutouts.
Freshmen Jocelyn Leigh and Emily Rossi lead the Ramblers with four points and two goals each.
2023 A-10 Rookie of the Year Zoe Hevey was named to the A-10 Preseason All-Conference Team and currently leads the team with two assists.
Loyola welcomes eight freshmen newcomers, including Roos van Roekel, the 2023-24 Gatorade Illinois Girls Soccer Player of the Year.

Series History

Sunday marks the 23rd all-time meeting between DePaul and Loyola, with the Ramblers holding a narrow 12-9-1 series lead.
The Blue Demons were unbeaten against the Ramblers from 2009 to 2019 but have lost the last three matches, dating back to 2021.
