Lucchesi Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

NEW YORK – DePaul freshman Dominic Lucchesi was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, fresh off his record setting performance at the Zach Johnson Invitational. Lucchesi set a program record, dating back to 1998, with the programs best round of 54. He golfed a 208 (-5) to take third place in the event in what was his second ever collegiate competition.
The Grayslake, Ill. native opened the tournament with a 68 (-3) in the first round and never let up, following up with a 69 (-2) and 71 (E) in the final two rounds. As a team, Lucchesi helped DePaul finish fifth overall.
Lucchesi is the first DePaul golfer to earn the honor since March 28, 2019.
