DePaul Welcomes Butler to Lincoln Park

CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer returns to Wish Field for a conference battle against Butler on Thursday, Sept. 26, with kickoff set for 4 p.m. CT. Fans can catch the action on Marquee Sports Network, with live stats available on StatBroadcast.

DePaul (2-5-2, 0-1-0 BIG EAST) recently fell to then-No. 23 Xavier on Sunday, Sept. 22, in a 3-0 decision. Elena Milam and the Blue Demons recorded five saves but could not counter the Musketeers' offense in their BIG EAST Conference opener in Cincinnati.

Butler (6-2-1, 1-0-0) travels from Indiana after securing a 1-0 victory in their conference opener against Marquette on Sunday, Sept. 22. Junior Amelie Darey scored the only goal of the match, assisted by Abigail Isger. The Bulldogs aim for their fourth consecutive win on Thursday evening.

The Bulldogs finished their 2023 campaign with a 6-8-6 record, falling in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament to UConn, 3-2.
Graduate students Abigail Isger and Caitlin O'Malley, along with junior Talia Sommer, were named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
Five Bulldogs have earned BIG EAST weekly honors, including Amelie Darey, Anna Pierce (twice), Sara Trandji, Macie Mietz, and Abigail Isger.
Talia Sommer leads Butler with five goals, three assists, and 31 shots; she ranks second in the BIG EAST in points per game and goals.

Thursday's matchup features two of the top-three goalkeepers in the BIG EAST in terms of saves, with Elena Milam and Anna Pierce both tied for second in the conference with .38 shutouts per game.
DePaul leads the all-time series 7-5-2 over Butler, dating back to 2008.
The Blue Demons were unbeaten in six consecutive matches against the Bulldogs from 2009 to 2017.
