Taylor Johnson-Matthews Earns Fifth-Straight Honor Roll Nod

CHICAGO – DePaul junior guard Taylor Johnson-Matthews collected her fifth-straight BIG EAST Honor Roll certificate on Monday after leading the Blue Demons to a 2-0 record last week.

The Cleveland, Ohio native led DePaul in scoring last week averaging 22.0 points per game while shooting 50-percent from three-point range. Johnson-Matthews scored 19 of her game-high 23 points in the second half of DePaul's 67-60 comeback win at St. John's on Tuesday. She followed up with a 21-point outing in Sunday's victory over Providence in her third-straight 20-point performance.

Johnson-Matthews leads the league in scoring through five conference contests with an average of 21.8 points per game. She has scored in double figures in 10-consecutive games.

DePaul will hit the road for a pair of contests this week beginning with a midday matchup at Villanova on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Tipoff from Finneran Pavilion is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. CT.
