Blue Demons Draw at Bradley 2-2

Han, Clagette tally first collegiate goals in draw
PEORIA, Ill. – DePaul men's soccer earned a point on the road Tuesday evening behind a 2-2 draw against Bradley at Shea Stadium. Behind a pair of first-time goal scorers, the Blue Demons scored two first half goals within six minutes of each other before the Braves responded with two unanswered tallies to equalize the scoreline.

After the non-conference finale, DePaul is 2-4-6 this fall while Bradley is 2-4-5 on the 2025 season.

Persistence paid off for redshirt-sophomore Joon Han who scored the first goal of his career in the 22nd minute while totaling a career-best four shots on the match. Six minutes later, junior forward Jordan Clagette punched home the first tally of his collegiate career on the long ball in from Ryan Thomas.

As a team, DePaul outshot Bradley 17-10 and held the Braves to two corner kicks while earning eight of its own. The Blue Demons have recoded more shots than their opponent in 11 of 12 matches this season.

In goal, sophomore Hayden Vostal saw his first action as a Blue Demon and made a pair of saves on the evening.

How It Happened
The Blue Demons were the aggressors from the start in the match, firing the first four shots of the contest and also earning a pair of corners within the first 17 minutes of action

In the 22nd minute, Sam Tinoco drew a foul at the half line and the Blue Demons moved quickly with Ryan Thomas triggering the restart to Han who drove down the middle of the pitch and fired inside the near post from nearly 25 yards out to put DePaul in front 1-0.

Maintaining its pressure, DePaul doubled its advantage six minutes later with Thomas serving a great ball down the left channel for Clagette who buried it home far post to give the Blue Demons a 2-0 lead in the 28th minute.

Bradley responded with a goal of their own to cut DePaul's lead in half in the 32nd minute. The Braves played a free kick short that was redirected right in front of the goal and put past the reach of Vostal.

DePaul held a decisive 12-3 advantage in shots in the first half while earning five corner kicks to Bradley's two.

The Braves equalized in the early going of the second half, breaking down DePaul's back line and putting one home par post to make the match level in the 56th minute.

Looking for one more moment to capitalize on, the Blue Demons earned back-to-back corner kicks in the 85th minute but couldn't break through as the match ended in a draw.
