Redshirt-freshman averaged 20.5 points per game in opening week

CHICAGO – DePaul redshirt-freshman Ally Timm earned the season's inaugural BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honor the league announced on Monday.

Timm's scoring average of 20.5 points per game ranked third in the BIG EAST after the first week of the season. The Menomonee Falls, Wis. native shot 55-percent from long range while adding 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest.

In a 92-54 victory over Valparaiso Tuesday, Timm netted a career-high 28-points behind an 8-for-10 outing from behind the arc. She added a pair of rebounds and four steals in the effort. Against UNLV, Timm posted 13 points and totaled two boards and one block.

Timm's accolade marks DePaul's first Freshman of the Week honor since the 2022-23 season.

The Blue Demons make the trip downstate to face Bradley on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Tipoff at Carver Arena is set for 5 p.m. with coverage available on ESPN+.
