Men’s Tennis Secures No. 4 Seed at BIG EAST Championships

Blue Demons to face Georgetown in opening round
CHICAGO – DePaul men's tennis secured the No. 4 seed in the 2025 BIG EAST Tennis Championships and will open play against No. 5 Georgetown on Friday, April 18, at 3:30 p.m. CT. The tournament will be held at the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center in Cayce, S.C.
The Blue Demons wrapped up the regular season with a 13-10 overall record, including a 4-2 mark in BIG EAST play and a 5-1 record at home. DePaul closed out dual action with a dramatic 4-3 victory over Xavier on Sunday, April 6, earning a top-five seed in the BIG EAST tournament for the 12th straight season.
For the first time since 2017, DePaul recorded four home sweeps in a single season—adding to a strong campaign that featured standout performances throughout the lineup. The Blue Demons now aim to become the first program to win four BIG EAST titles in a five-year span since conference realignment in 2013, and the first overall since Notre Dame captured four championships from 2004–08.
The 2025 BIG EAST Championships return to the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center for the ninth consecutive year. The venue features 30 lighted courts, a championship-sized stadium court with seating for 500 spectators, and amenities including iced water coolers and power access at each court.
Tournament seeds were determined by a selection committee based on regular-season results, ITA rankings, head-to-head outcomes among BIG EAST teams, and results against common non-conference opponents.
