CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball added veteran center Justis Odom to its 2025-26 roster on Thursday afternoon. Odom lands in Chicago after two seasons at Lindenwood and has one season of eligibility remaining.
"We are very ecstatic to add someone of Justis's experience and caliber to our front court," said head coach Jill M. Pizzotti. "Her rebounding prowess, high motor, and back-to-the-basket skills will make an immediate impact on our program. Her years of college basketball paired with her time at a strong high school program like Lawrence North, will bring a winning mentality to Chicago and add to our growing list of talented Indiana natives. We're equally excited for Justis to earn her master's degree here at DePaul."
At Lindenwood, Odom made 53 starts in 57 appearances and averaged 20.9 minutes per game across a pair of seasons. Odom averaged 8.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game as a senior while shooting 46-percent from the floor. She totaled 13 double-digit scoring performances. In 2023-24, Odom posted 9.2 points per contest while grabbing a team-best 4.1 rebounds. She scored a career-high 24 points behind a 14-for-16 performance from the charity stripe in a win over Little Rock. On the defensive end, Odom recorded 57 blocks during her time in St. Charles.
"I'm in the best city with the best staff, ready to elevate myself and the people around me," Odom said. "I'm ready for the competition and feel this is the best way to close out my collegiate career. Coming in as a graduate student, I think Chicago is a great place for me to make connections as I enter the workforce as well!"
The Indianapolis, Ind. native spent one season at Texas A&M Corpus Christi in which she averaged 6.7 minutes in 23 appearances as the Islanders earned a WNIT berth. Odom began her collegiate career at Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas.
In high school, Odom helped Lawrence North to its first ever state championship in 2020 and averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game as a senior. She was twice named Defensive Player of the Year in her conference.
Odom plans to pursue a master's degree in DePaul's College of Communication. Â
