Four-time All-American set for Sunday showdown in 110m hurdles
EUGENE, Ore. – Darius Brown kept his season alive Friday at the 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships, earning a spot in the men's 110m hurdles semifinals after posting a 13.54 in the opening round. Racing in the third heat, the Blue Demon crossed the line fifth in his section and 13th overall, securing an automatic qualifier despite running into a -0.4 m/s headwind.
Brown is slated to return to Hayward Field on Sunday for the semifinal round, beginning at 2:55 p.m. CT on USATF.TV and NBC/Peacock. From there, the top two finishers in each semifinal heat, along with the next two fastest times, will make up the eight-man field for the championship final later that day at 4:54 p.m. CT.
Since wrapping up his collegiate career in June, Brown has continued to line up against the nation's best, displaying the battle-tested form that kept his run alive past Friday's opening round. The 2025 NCAA Outdoor sixth-place finisher remains DePaul's all-time leader in both the 110m hurdles and 4x100m relay, adding this summer's competition to a résumé highlighted by conference titles, four All-America honors, and appearances on the sport's biggest stages.
The USATF Championships are Brown's latest test at Hayward Field, a venue where he has also lined up for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials and the 2023 USATF Outdoor Championships.
